The challenge
Epilepsy Foundation New England needed to reach three very different audiences, each with its own needs and priorities. The communications needed to feel relevant to each group without losing their connection to the parent organization.
The challenge was to create enough distinction for each initiative to have its own personality while building a visual relationship among all three.
The approach
Create distinction without creating disconnect.
We developed three related sub-logos, giving each initiative its own identity while maintaining a consistent visual language across the family.
Photography also played an important role. Images were selected to help each audience see itself in the communications, while typography, color and layout helped create continuity from one piece to the next.
Working with Ruzow Graphics collaborator Vicki Wray, who developed the marketing plan and recommendations for prospective advertising placement, we were able to consider the visual identity and how it would be used together.

The solution
The three sub-brands were extended across brochures and digital advertising, creating a cohesive system rather than a collection of individual pieces.
A reusable template gave the organization a practical way to maintain that consistency in future communications.
The result was a family of materials that could speak directly to different audiences while still being immediately recognizable as part of Epilepsy Foundation New England.
Different enough to connect with each audience. Consistent enough to strengthen the larger brand.
We hired Ruzow Graphics to create a marketing plan, sub-logos, digital ads, and brochures, that could speak to three distinct audiences, yet have a similar look and feel. She came up with great, clean designs, found the perfect photos, and came up with a template to use now and in the future. Nancy and her team were easy to work with, kept our schedule and budget in mind at all times. We are very pleased.”
